About Feral Beryl... Feral Beryl likes to travel. Though feral, she is literate and sometimes even articulate.
Why Feral Beryl? Feral on account of a penchant for rolling around in freshly cut grass & going walkabout in the forest. Beryl due to conveniently rhyming with 'feral'.
Recounted here are tales of my adventures - some old, some new (and some invented?) - plus handy hints, reviews and helpful travel tips.
Feral Beryl Travels began as a record of my commitment to my Nani (grandmother) after her death that if I could pursue a life just half as extraordinary as hers, I'd be proud to call myself her granddaughter.
The journey began in India as I followed in her footsteps, and it has taken a few twists and turns along the way that have resulted in blog posts about adventures at music festivals and the largest group ski trips you've ever heard of. So, Feral Beryl is sometimes accompanied, and references to these characters (often bizarrely named individuals - done to respect their privacy) do crop up from time to time.
Feral Beryl Travels has always tried to be helpful to fellow travellers, providing reviews and links to the places and things I describe. Check out the Mentions page for links to tried and tested sites to see, books to read, accommodation etc.
